Elderberry Syrup Recipe
500g elderberries, stalks removed and washed.
Splash of water
200g raw honey or maple syrup. This can be added to personal taste.
It's packed full of antioxidants and vitamins that’ll boost the immune system and ward off those coughs and colds.
Pickled Elderberries Recipe
400g elderberries, stalks removed and washed
300g distilled malt vinegar or white wine vinegar
200g elderflower cordial
1 tbsp dried pineapple weed or a camomile tea back works well
2 pinches sea salt
Store them in a sterilised kilner jar for up to 6 months. Once opened they can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 months.
