italian bRead balls

INGREDIENTS
- 400g stale bread, crusts removed ad set aside
- 250ml milk
- 1 large egg
- Garlic
- Parmesan
- Pine nuts
- Herbs
- Sultanas (optional)
METHOD
Soak the stale bread until completely absorbed.
Mix in the egg, parmesan, garlic, chopped herbs, sultanas and seasoning.
Blend the crusts and some parmesan into fine breadcrumbs.
Roll the mix into balls and then into the breadcrumbs - they should be moist enough to get a nice coating.
Fry until golden brown. These were served with a spicy tomatoe sauce.
